Gotlandian is a family-owned investment firm. We invest directly or indirectly via funds in private and public companies. We engage in early-stage to mid-size companies through investments and strategic advice.
Through our subsidiary Trojaborg AB, we are the largest shareholder of Gotlandsbolaget. The company has been part of our family since the mid 1960s.
The name Gotlandian is inspired by Gotland’s unique geological history and symbolises our strong connection to the community of Gotland, Sweden’s largest island. Gotlandian’s commitment started in Gotland, where our roots are deeply embedded. While we began here our presence now spans across Northern Europe. We support businesses that look to the future and can create lasting change and sustainable returns.

We do this by investing in private companies that balance financial discipline with a commitment to positive community impact. Established in 2017 in the UK by the family of Björn Nilsson, Young Nilsson Foundation is a philanthropic family trust dedicated to supporting initiatives that promote social well-being, education, and human rights.
